Trading guides · 7 core topics

Move beyond the personality label and test the process.

Start with how the assessment works, then examine timeframe, journaling, discipline, risk, and derivatives boundaries. Every guide ends in a process you can record and challenge.

01
Methodology · TT4

How the TraderTypes assessment turns answers into a practice hypothesis.

TT4 is an educational self-reflection model. It separates personality, self-reported behavior signals, goals and constraints, verifiable process evidence, and product knowledge; it does not determine account eligibility, measure investment skill, or predict returns.

02
Framework · four dimensions

Four preferences describe your process—not your profit potential.

Each axis asks a practical question about attention, information, decisions, and structure. Both ends can work; each needs a different operating rule.

03
Report guide · interpretation

Read your report in the order a real trading decision happens.

Start with time and product boundaries, then examine strengths and failure modes. The personality label comes last—not first.

04
Practice · journal

A useful trading journal records decisions, not just P&L.

The journal is evidence for or against your report. It should show what you knew, what you planned, what changed, and whether you followed the process.

05
Practice · discipline

Trading discipline is a system that still works on a bad day.

Willpower is unreliable under speed, uncertainty, and loss. Good discipline reduces the number of decisions that can be renegotiated in the moment.

06
Risk · boundaries

Risk management is the boundary around every decision—not a stop-loss button.

Product mechanics, position concentration, liquidity, gaps, operational risk, and the ability to stop all matter before a trade is evaluated.

07
Products · derivatives

Learn derivatives in layers; personality never grants permission to use leverage.

Options, futures, leveraged forex, and perpetual contracts combine market direction with contract mechanics. The learning path must prove understanding before live risk is considered.
